Presenters:
Kay Betz, MBA
An educator, entrepreneur and business consultant, Kay Betz approaches life and business with enthusiasm. She is a principal in and the Chief Financial Officer of Al Betz & Associates, Inc., a nationally recognized litigation support services company. Kay is a co-founder of Outfluence, LLC, a publishing and teaching organization focused on communication and performance in business and personal relationships. Kay is also a consultant to nonprofit organizations and she teaches management to McDaniel College graduate students entering the human services profession. Kay earned her undergraduate degree in economics from Towson University and a Masters of Business Administration from Mt. St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
Eric Byrd

Internationally acclaimed jazz pianist/vocalist Eric Byrd has been playing professionally and composing music for over 20 years. Considered the “Jazz Ambassador of the United States Department of State,” Eric is also an educator and an entrepreneur. The fundamental elements of his performance style integrate the principles of swing and be-bop, rousing gospel-tinged chords and trilling blues. Byrd has performed with Wynton Marsalis, Ethel Ennis, and Charlie Byrd, just to name a few. Along with his own recordings, he guests on over a dozen CDs by others. He is currently a half-time Music Lecturer at McDaniel College, where he completed his undergraduate degree. He received his Masters in Music degree in 2001 from Morgan State.
