Al Betz is the creator of the Outfluence concept and a co-founder of Outfluence, LLC. He has been a professional court reporter and entrepreneur for 42 years. Al has written five books and co-developed numerous Outfluence training programs. He lives in New Windsor, Maryland with his wife Kay, who is a co-founder of Outfluence and its President. Their son Matthew is also a co-founder of Outfluence. Al has several titles but his favorite title is grandfather to Taylor and Myranda.
An educator, entrepreneur and business consultant, KayBetz approaches life and business with enthusiasm. She is a co-founder of Outfluence, LLC, and the company’s President. She is also a principal in Al Betz & Associates, Inc., a nationally recognized litigation support services company. Kay is also a consultant to nonprofit organizations and she teaches management to McDaniel College graduate students entering the human services profession. Kay earned her undergraduate degree in economics from Towson University and a Masters of Business Administration from Mt. St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Kay enjoys speaking on topics ranging from Encore Selling to Business Management, Constant Messaging, Communication Basics and Planning your Career.
Matthew Betz is a co-founder of Outfluence, LLC, a Vice-President of the company, and is responsible for the company’s daily administrative operations. Leveraging nearly two decades of distinguished service as an officer and as an academy instructor, Matt has put his degree in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement to work both in the professional security field and in law enforcement. Decision-making skills, commitment to task, and his leadership experience on various law enforcement teams allows him to effectively manage the demands of the fast-paced corporate world. He remains very active in the law enforcement profession today.
Ryan Black has spent the last 14 years in the Court Reporting and Litigation Support Industries. Over that time, he has served the Bench, the Bar and Citizens of the public as an Official and Freelance Court Reporter and has produced thousands of pages of hearing/deposition transcripts in many high-profile cases. For a number of years, Mr. Black was the Director/Chief Official Reporter of a Court Reporting Department where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of that department and he applied and developed his Outfluence skills and used them to mentor and guide new employees, foster and maintain morale and team-building of longstanding, more seasoned employees, and successfully relate with Administrative, Judicial and Executive Management.
Ryan personally applies Outfluence every day in his personal and professional life and is passionate about teaching others the applications and fundamentals of Outfluence and Silent Communication. He has been quoted as saying, “Every human being possesses the ability to apply the fundamentals and principles of Outfluence and Silent Communication. When applied sincerely, consistently and correctly, they are a very powerful and differentiating tool and will lead to winning outcomes for people applying them in situations over those who are not.”
