Schools
College administrators and faculty report the number one issue impacting the progress of incoming freshmen is their inability to communicate – both verbally and in writing. With texting, emails and cell phones replacing in-person interaction among teens, it’s easy to see that high school students are not challenged to improve their communication skills.
Outfluence offers upbeat, interactive presentations to schools, introducing some of the basic concepts of effective communication. Some of what is included is:
- The importance of a smile and good eye contact
- A “gameshow” format to engage even shy children
- Ways to encourage positive self-images
- Building skills that promote individual genius
Good communication is the result of practice. Outfluence skills and behaviors can benefit students, teachers, principals and administration staff. See the letter below from South River High School in Annapolis, Maryland, where we are consulting in the development of their Global Communications and Public Affairs Signature Program.
